My art? My love! I am pretty much self taught. My Dad was the one who literally drove me to beginning my first watercolor painting. His home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, in his hobby room, setting up a blue colander with tomatoes fresh out of his garden in it. The results? Pretty rough, pretty amateurish, but it was mine and finished and I thought I had completed a masterpiece! Onward and moving forward never stopped. Continued with a drawing class in Lewiston Idaho at a college there and that boosted my interest and knew my wonderful Dad saw in me something I never saw myself.
My home, now in St George, UT (formerly resided in WA State) has been a complete delight with totally opposite scenery and backdrops of pure jaw- dropping beauty in every direction. Red giant terrain against the blue sky has sparked a whole new love affair with my surroundings and inspiration to paint new delights.
My work is currently being shown at Gallery 873 in Ivins, Utah at the lovely Kayenta art community. Some of the work in the gallery are on in the “my paintings” section shown here on this website so please let me know which one you are interested in and I will let you know the status on that piece.
